New Pathways Supported EmploymentNew Pathways Supported Employment Program

Schoharie County ARC’s Supported Employment Program currently provides employment support services to over 90 individuals with various abilities. Our program, New Pathways, works cooperatively with state and local agencies to ensure a continuum of quality services for the individuals we serve. We work with several businesses in Schoharie County to ensure their employment needs are met, and with the consumer to ensure that they have the necessary supports for successful employment.                                                                                        Services we provide include, but are not limited to:
Community-based Situational Assessment
Job Development and Placement
Customized Employment
Intensive Job Coaching/Training
Advocacy
Case Management
Ongoing Extended Support

New Pathways provides an individualized, comprehensive approach to competitive employment for these individuals whose disabilities have prevented them from successfully securing and/or maintaining jobs. Through job site training and ongoing follow along services, individuals participating in the program are able to obtain and maintain employment to become valued employees in the work force, and contributing members of their communities.
